Scritch, drawing performance 2005 7 min, video

“My preoccupation with mark making is made known, as amplified sounds invade a space, unnerving the listener.”

Scott’s work explores the relationship between the act of drawing and the human body. Amplified sounds and extreme close up shots of the physicality of hair makes Scritch an intense piece of film.
Scott’s art performances and video pieces investigate how drawing can be seen as a performative act informing the audience of the parallels that occur through drawing, space and the physical presence of the human body.
