This film was made to show the relationship between the man featured and his living environment. The principle idea was to make a film that only used one room and one actor and never showed any aspect of life beyond that.

The occupier’s emotions are expressed in the way he interacts with the room - constantly redecorating it. This behaviour of the occupier’s, was a display of the cycle of his environment’s imposition on his behaviour and mood, and his personal impact on that environment physically.

The result is constant renewal and destruction and never being quite at ease.
