I make drawings that stir a sense of menace and foreboding. Most of my work is based on photographs of urban, or rural landscapes that are a manifested with a threat from a supernatural presence, or, as implied in a series of drawings entitled Transparent Radiation, the danger could a global catastrophe such as nuclear war.
I am currently exploring theme of nuclear war and ideologies in a new set of drawings. This series features a drawing of Herman Kahn, the creator of the Mutually Assured Destruction doctrine, and Francis Fukayama author of the essay “The End of History and the Last Man."
